Megiddo City Water Supply

In order to give the city of Megiddo a reliable water supply without going outside the city wall, a 36 meter deep shaft was dug with  a 70 meter tunnel to a spring outside the city walls. The shaft and tunnel are still in existence and there is still water from the spring in the tunnel! The tunnel can be explored via stairways at each end.
