Megiddo National Park

Remains of the Canaanite Gate to the city of Megiddo. Once an important city controlling the trade route between Egypt and Mesopotamia.

Observation point on the southern edge of the city looking down on the site where many battles were fought for control of this area. It is also the site where Armageddon is predicted to occur in Rev 16:16

The residents of Megiddo was known for its horses and skill with chariots. Large stable complexes have been uncovered here.
