Theatre of Dionysus Eleuthereus

View of the Theatre of Dionysus Eleuthereus on the way up to the Parthenon. You can also see the Acropolis Museum in the background. The theatre is built at the foot of the Acropolis and is Dedicated to Dionysus, the god of plays and wine. The theatre could seat as many as 17,000 people with excellent sound qualities.
